Understanding Saudi Post Tracking Statuses
Each scan marks a step from merchant handover through SPL's network to your address or post office.

How many delivery attempts does SPL make?
SPL attempts delivery for 3 consecutive days from the first delivery attempt. After that, the shipment may be held at a post office or entered into the return cycle back to the sender.
How long will my shipment be held at the post office?
Shipments marked "ready for pickup" are stored for 10 days for the EMS service and 30 days for other services (Registered, Prime, Official, and Parcel).
What does "Your address is incomplete" mean?
SPL could not match your shipment to a complete National Address. Use the "link shipment" service on the SPL website or app to attach your address and avoid the shipment being returned.
Can I change my delivery location?
Yes — SPL offers a "change shipment destination" service through its website and mobile application while the shipment is still in the network.
What does a Saudi Post tracking number look like?
Domestic SPL shipments use a 16-character shipment code such as EBUXSL1234567890, where the leading letters identify the sender channel — Absher (ABS), e-commerce (EBU), or bank cards (CRD). International postal items use standard UPU format: two letters, nine digits and a two-letter country suffix, for example RR123456789SA or EG651888785IN.
What does "Shipment Details Received" mean?
The merchant or government agency has created the shipment record, but SPL has not physically received the item yet. The status moves on to "Shipment Received / On Its Way" once it enters the SPL network and starts moving between distribution centers.
Why is my Saudi Post tracking not updating?
Scans are written as the shipment passes between distribution centers, so a few hours can pass with no visible change. If nothing updates for more than 48 hours, contact the merchant or agency that sent the item, or SPL support, quoting your shipment code.
